After winning the toss and elected to bat, the visitors than ever, a beautiful descent into the field, New Zealand bowlers step to get a good bounce, shape and movement away from the batsmen, when they produce the supply.
Jesse Ryder and Ross Taylor also took the catch behind the counter as Pakistan does not build meaningful partnerships. Pakistan test captain Misbah-ul-Haq, was again the mainstay of his team high batting effort score of 50 runs. Younus Khan was the 2nd best together with 24 runs. Shahid Afredi, Umer Akmal and Razzaq were unable to stay at wicket. Southee finished with a career best five for 33 from 9.3 acquisitions, while Bennett had three for 26.
New Zealand came in with firing on Pakistani pace attack as they were were looking for a victory since long and after all they get it. Pakistani bowlers were looking idle. It was totally one sided match which disappointed the Pakistani audience but it brought happiness in New Zealand camp. Congratulations to Vettori and Best of luck to Afredi XI in next game.
